As part of our Ministry with Teens program, we strive to deliver a program that shares values of faith and community in the relationships our teens have with each other and with the church. In that, we welcome any young people of any faith into our program. There is no cost to participate.
Schedule
Classes are every Wednesday from 7:00pm-8:30pm in the Flora McCrea Auditorium.
The Leadership
We are pleased to have TEMC member Michelle Cutts leads this fun program with support from Nupur James, Director of Children and Youth Ministries and Elaine Choi, Director of Music. Michelle has extensive experience working with youth of all ages from all different backgrounds. With a master’s degree in Historical Theatre Directing, Michelle brings her passion for the arts and energy to enhance one’s community and deepen relationships to the Spirit Express Program.
What's coming up?
Classes will be Wednesday evenings starting October 5, 2022 at 7:00 pm in the Flora McCrea Auditorium.
Michelle Cutts, along with Nupur James and Elaine Choi will be leading some informal, drop-in style theatre workshops, with opportunity for kids to have some one-on-one coaching afterwards!
This year the program will be divided into two semesters. The first semester will focus on a drop-in-style theatre program and community time and fellowship. At the end of the semester the youth will all participate in the Christmas Pageant supporting the on-stage cast as well as the crew.
The second semester will focus on performing a full-length play in April with rehearsals continuing every Wednesday. Some additional rehearsals will be required closer to the date of the shows.
