We invite you to celebrate God's love together with a community of like-minded people. Our church is God's home. We share it with you as a place for life: a place where you can learn, grow, participate, connect, and celebrate!
If you're new here or would like to connect further, fill out a Connect Card!
Where can I find you?
We are located in Toronto, Ontario, in the midtown area of the city. We are accessible by driving, walking, and public transportation. The TTC subway is minutes away and the 512 St.Clair Ave. Streetcar stops right in front of the church! (How convenient!) Our address is 230 St. Clair Ave. West. Link to Google Maps here.
Are you part of a denomination?
We are a congregation of The United Church of Canada.
Is there a difference between the 9:15 and 11:00 AM Service?
9:15 AM is the Contemporary Service, featuring the Contemporary Worship Band.
11:00 AM is the Traditional Service.
It’s not just for ‘good’ people.
The whole point of Christianity is that none of us are ‘good enough’ to make it on our own. If you are feeling like you need some support, guidance and help in life, then join us at TEMC, where we proclaim our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and where God's Word is preached and the sacraments are celebrated.
You don’t have to wear your “Sunday Best.”
Nowadays, not everyone dresses up for church—just wear what you feel comfortable in.
You don’t have to know what to do.
Most churches have some common features that include: songs, announcements, a talk of about 20 to 30 minutes, offering, and prayers. Just follow the crowd and you’ll be fine. But if you like to plan ahead, you can always find the order of service for the upcoming Sunday posted here each Friday.
Singing out of tune is okay.
Churches sing songs as a way of expressing their love for God. No one else is looking at you — join in if you want to or just listen to our beautiful choir. In the order of service you will see the hymn numbers which are located in the red Voices United books in the pew rack. For more information on our Music Program click here.
You don’t need to pay.
You are our guest, and are not expected to give any money. Each service does include a voluntary offering, if you wish to contribute to the work of the church, but nobody will be upset (or even notice) if you don’t.
Is there parking?
A parking lot is available on Warren Rd. on the North side of St. Clair Ave. For those who wish to use the elevator there is FREE street parking available on Dunvegan Rd. and on Warren Rd.
Do you offer childcare?
YES! We have Sunday School and childcare during services. Our well-equipped nursery provides care for children up to age four. The Nursery is staffed by our wonderful team of volunteers and runs year round! For more information on our Sunday School and Children and Youth Programming click here.
I may need some help moving around...
We are fully accessible! Wheelchair access is available at entrances through Dunvegan Rd. or the parking lot off Warren Rd. We also have ramps and an elevator in the building allowing you to move around freely. For elevator use please enter the side doors off of Dunvegan Rd.
Friendly?
Absolutely! We have greeters and ushers at the door. Don’t be afraid of them. They are simply there to help you or just give you a smile. If you have any concerns or questions they are happy to assist you, or even give you a tour of the building if you wish!
I'm looking to be part of a community.
Our Connect Café (also referred to as Coffee Hour) is from 10:15am to 11am (between the two worship services). It's a great time to meet members of the church and other visitors.
Just remember: Church is not a building. The building is where we meet, but a church is a community of people who want to support each other. It’s not about rules - Christianity is not only about following rules but about relationships with God and others, with the presence of Jesus to guide us all through life.
