With weekly rehearsals and frequent performances in services, concerts, and competitions, the Choir School relies on many people to ensure that it runs smoothly. As such, positions are held by an executive committee, the church and choir school staff.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE POSITIONS: 

Members of the Executive Committee ensure that all programs, activities, and policies align with both the Choir School’s vision and TEMC’s governing policies. Members support the Director of Music, administer the David Ouchterlony Endowment Fund with a primary focus on providing music tutoring to member choristers, and work to engage all families of the Choir School in volunteerism.

CHOIR SCHOOL STAFF: 

The TEMC Choir School Conductor, Nila Rajagopal, is responsible for overall musical direction of the program and conducts Seraphic Voices and Voce Unite. She coordinates the tutoring program and liaises with Director of Music, Elaine Choi, the church’s Ministerial Team and Music/Worship Committee - always ensuring alignment with the mission of the church.

The TEMC Student Music Associate, Delicia Raveenthrarajan, directs the Cherub Choir and assists the Choir School Conductor with artistic planning and various administrative tasks. She collaborates with the Music Team to contribute to the vibrant musical life at TEMC.

The Choir School Accompanist, Adam Weinmann, collaborates on piano with the TEMC Choir School Conductor and TEMC Student Music Associate for rehearsals and performances with all Choir School ensembles.

THE TUTORS

TEMC Choir School tutors are highly educated professional musicians who are experienced and skilled teachers. Students are taught in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Students who practice regularly show substantial progress in music skills and music appreciation.
